Before you write to us
Where will my book be sold?
The paperback is printed in India and sold on Amazon.in. Paperback and Kindle editions are also available on Amazon stores worldwide, including the US, UK, Europe, Canada, Australia and Japan. We also try to place books in selected bookshops where that is possible.
Do you edit and proofread my manuscript?
Yes. An editor reads your manuscript first and tells you honestly what it needs. How much work that means depends on how ready the manuscript is: some books need a light proofread, others need deeper editing. The effort varies from book to book, so we’ll tell you what yours needs once we’ve read it.
What do you do for my book?
Beyond editing and proofreading, we format your book for print and ebook, obtain its ISBN and Amazon listing, and design the cover with your input and approval. We arrange the print copies, list the book on Amazon, give it its own page on this website and post about it on our social channels.
Do I earn royalties on my book?
Yes. We pay you a royalty on every copy of your book that sells, in paperback and ebook, through Amazon and any other sales channel. Royalties are paid every quarter by bank transfer, along with a sales report showing the copies sold, the format and the sales channel.
Do I keep the copyright to my book?
Yes. The copyright stays with you. You give us the right to publish, distribute and sell your book for the term of the agreement, and to use excerpts and images to promote it.
How long does it take?
Your agreement sets a target publication date. It depends on how ready your manuscript is, since some books need more editing than others, and on you sending everything we need and giving your approvals on time. Delays on either side move the date.
Do I get copies of my own book?
Yes. Every author receives complimentary copies of their book. If you’d like more, for gifting, events or your own readers, we can arrange them for you at author rates.
