Minduread Media Private Limited ("Mind u Read Media", "we", "us") runs mindureadmedia.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect through the website, why, and what you can do about it. We have written it to be read, not skimmed past.

What we collect, and why

We only collect information you choose to give us.

When you tell us about your book (the form on our Publish with us page), we collect your name, email address, phone number (optional), the kind of book, how far along the manuscript is, and anything else you share about the book with us. We use this only to read your enquiry and reply to you.

When you join our newsletter, we collect your email address so we can occasionally write to you about new books, articles and news from the house.

When you ask to be told about an upcoming book ("Notify me"), we collect your email address and the book you're interested in, so we can let you know when it is out.

When you buy a book directly from us, the purchase happens in our Razorpay store. Razorpay collects your payment details; we never see your card or bank details. We receive your name, contact details and delivery address so we can send your order. Razorpay's own privacy policy applies to payment information.

When you write to us by email or phone, we receive whatever you choose to share, such as your name, contact details and message.

We do not run advertising, we do not sell or rent your information, and we do not use tracking or analytics cookies.

How we contact you

Nothing on this website sends emails automatically. When we write to you, a person at Mind u Read Media sends that email. Every newsletter or book announcement we send will tell you how to stop receiving them. You can also simply reply and ask, or write to contact@minduread.com, and we will stop sending them to you.

Where your information is kept

We use a small number of trusted service providers to run the website. They store or process information only to provide their service to us:

• Supabase: our database, where enquiries and sign-ups are stored (hosted in Mumbai, India)
• Vercel: hosts the website
• Cloudflare: stores images, protects our forms from spam (Turnstile) and manages our domain
• Razorpay: processes payments for direct orders
• Amazon: when you follow a "Buy on Amazon" link, you leave our site and Amazon's own terms and privacy policy apply

Some of these providers may process data outside India. We choose providers that protect data with industry-standard security.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries: for as long as we are discussing your book, and for our records if we work together. Enquiries that don't go further are deleted within 24 months.
• Newsletter and Notify me sign-ups: until you ask us to stop sending them. Notify me sign-ups may be removed once the book is out and we have let you know.
• Order details: for as long as Indian tax and accounting law requires.

Cookies

Our public pages don't use advertising or analytics cookies. Our spam protection (Cloudflare Turnstile) may check your browser when you submit a form, to make sure you're a person. Our team's admin area uses a login cookie, which only applies to people who sign in.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and in line with good practice, you can ask us to:

• tell you what information we hold about you
• correct or update it
• delete it
• stop contacting you

You can withdraw your consent at any time. Write to contact@minduread.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you're not satisfied with our response, you may raise a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

This website is meant for adults. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to contact us or fill in a form on your behalf, including if you are a young author.

Links to other sites

Our pages link to Amazon, Razorpay, Instagram and other sites. Their own privacy policies apply once you leave mindureadmedia.com.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
